Safe Edge
Simulation Open the demo

We watch edges, not people.

Patrols aim at fences, covers, gratings and ring buoys. A frame with a person in it is discarded before it is stored.

Simulation No drone has flown yet. The demo's flights are simulated.

Seven rules for people in frames.

Safe Edge is a defect-inspection aid. It does not identify people, and it does not certify a water edge safe.

  • Edges, not people.

Patrols aim at assets. Frames that contain people are discarded before storage, so stored evidence never shows a person. There is no face recognition, tracking or audio.

  • Fly when the park is empty.

Patrols run at first light or another agreed window, and hold for lightning and wet surfaces.

  • 50 m from people.

Plans keep CAAM's 50 m separation from people, with zoom lenses and stand-off distance, and 30 m during take-off and landing. A camera station with people near it waits for a clear pass.

  • No capture over homes.

Geofences mark homes and playgrounds as no-capture zones. The planner drops any camera station whose frame would cover one.

  • No location in public photos.

The team's real photos were taken with permission and no people in frame, and their location data is stripped from the public build.

  • Two people per fix.

The person who records a repair cannot accept it. The reviewer must differ from the installer and from the person who confirmed the finding.

  • Simulated means labelled.

Every simulated flight, detection and repair in the demo carries a visible label, and every seeded record carries simulated: true.

What is built, simulated or planned.

Each rule says where it holds today. Nothing here has met a real drone flight.

Where each privacy rule holds today
Rule Today Where
Frames with people discarded Simulated The demo's scene marks each frame the privacy gate dropped, where the drone took it.
No faces, tracking or audio By design Safe Edge has no such feature to switch on.
Flight windows and 50 m Built The patrol planner fits every plan to a window and keeps the distances; the flights are simulated.
No-capture zones Built The patrol planner treats homes and playgrounds as hard constraints.
No location in public photos Required A requirement for every real team photo in the public demo build.
Two people per fix Built The core refuses it with two_person_rule, in the API and in the demo.
Simulated means labelled Built Every screen of the demo.

Before live capture.

This page describes the product's design. It is not a privacy policy, and it makes no compliance claim.

Malaysia's PDPA can treat an identifiable photo as personal data. A data protection officer and an impact assessment are likely before live capture, and the one-asset pilot lists a data protection impact assessment among the approvals it needs. See the drone phases.

Blur, notices or a permit alone would not make a patrol privacy-safe. Until a pilot flies under its approvals, the phone patrol carries the loop: the walk crew photographs the same fixed viewpoints.

See the labels in the demo.

Every simulated flight, detection and repair in the demo says so on screen.
